Key Responsibilities:
- Develop your knowledge of CAM software to become an expert trainer and content creator.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in the software and related applications; with continuous expansion of skills by attending classes and taking certifications with Autodesk.
- Create written and video marketing content surrounding the software.
- Be a point of contact for support through emails and calls. Manage your support cases using our support ticketing system.
- Deliver software product demonstrations to potential customers and clients. Participate in pre-sales activities including customer calls, on-site visits, strategic planning, and customer support.
- Other duties within the scope of the applications engineer job requirements
- Contribute to achieve key technical department projects, objectives, and goals. Leverage software solutions to increase efficiency of the team.
- Recognize market opportunities and recommend additional products and services to increase customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- 5 plus years minimum of combined experience programming/operating CNC machine tools including 5th Axis work.
- Proven knowledge of multiple manufacturing disciplines with a preference within 5 axis milling Head/Head, Table/Table, and/or Head/Table type machines.
- Experience with a high-level CAD/CAM software with a focus on 5th axis such as PowerMill, NX, Mastercam, Hypermill, and or Tebis. PowerMill experience is a plus.
- Industry knowledge in Aerospace, Medical, Mold and tooling, or heavy equipment manufacturing.
- Experience working in a team environment and with high level engineering professionals.
- Experience with software and computing environments including, but not limited to, operating systems, networks, and PC hardware.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks.
- Excellent problem detection and resolution skills, with high attention to detail.
- The ability to learn and adapt to evolving technology and manufacturing problems.
- Full understanding of the manufacturing shop floor, the systems and processes involved, and how to guide customers to be more successful.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Applications Engineering team to solve problems or provide opportunities to further support and/or advance customer software needs.
- Be one of the first points of contact for our customers through our support network and help our customers resolve software-related issues through the technical applications team as well as the NexGenCAM knowledge base.
- Be responsive to customer needs, investigate, & escalate support issues to other AE Team members where necessary.
- Manage customer cases, calls, and other software-related tasks using Salesforce and Freshdesk.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in various Autodesk software and related. applications with a learning mindset and continuous expansion of skills by attending classes and taking certifications with Autodesk.
- Assist the customer services and sales teams with recognizing market opportunities and recommend additional products and services to increase customer satisfaction.
- Participate proactively in the creation of educational, promotional, and marking content via video and audio media and print media.
- Contribute to technical department projects, objectives, and goals. Leverage software solutions to increase efficiency of the team.
- Maintaining records and writing reports where necessary on specific case studies or customer issues.
- Assist customers in the onboarding of Autodesk software and systems.
- Create knowledge-based content on repetitive support issues for future case resolution.

Requirements:
- 1+ Years of experience with CAD/CAM software, or applicable education and training.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment such as a machine shop or engineering firm.
- Previous experience as an application support analyst or a similar role
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stay on task and follow through with support duties
- Self-motivated, adaptive, and willing to learn
- Ability to diagnose and solve application issues
- CNC Programming experience in a CAM software is a plus but not a requirement for the position

- Write, edit, and configure CNC machine post processors for specific customers based on machine, product, software, and user skill levels.
- Scope automation and software development projects with customers, provide estimates
and drive project completion on budget. - Provide post-sales implementation and consulting as needed on customer projects. Take a lead role on Post Processor test and tune procedures.
- Deliver the final product to the customer and manage any follow up actions required to
complete the post processor projects. - Consult on customer needs in sales discovery calls, or in customer account meetings to assist in any necessary requirements to fulfill post development projects.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in the software and related applications; with continuous expansion of skills by attending classes and taking certifications with Autodesk.

- Experience working in a team environment and with high level engineering professionals.
- Experience with software and computing environments including, but not limited to, operating systems, networks, Code editors, and PC hardware.
- Strong G code analysis and trouble shooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks.
- Excellent problem detection and resolution skills, with high attention to detail.
